Privacy policy
Last updated 18 August 2026.
This policy explains how SKAP Waste Management Pte Ltd, trading as HomeToMoved, collects, uses, discloses and protects personal data. It is written to comply with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (PDPA).
HomeToMoved is a matching service. We connect households and businesses in Singapore with vetted, insured moving vendors. We do not carry out moves ourselves. That matters for your privacy, because the core of the service is passing your enquiry to third-party moving vendors. If you are not comfortable with that disclosure, please do not submit an enquiry.
What we collect
We collect only what a mover needs to quote your job:
- Your name, mobile number and email address.
- Details of the move: the type of move, property type, access notes, the towns you are moving from and to, floor levels, your preferred date and flexibility, any extra services, and anything you write in the message field.
- The page on our site from which you submitted the enquiry.
- If analytics is enabled, standard usage data such as pages viewed and approximate location, collected through Google Analytics 4. This is not linked to your enquiry.
We do not ask for and do not want NRIC numbers, financial details, or copies of identity documents. Please do not send them.
Why we collect it
- To contact you about your enquiry.
- To pass your requirements to moving vendors so that they can quote.
- To answer follow-up questions and resolve any complaint about a matched vendor.
- To understand which pages generate enquiries, so we can improve the site.
- To comply with legal and record-keeping obligations.
Disclosure to moving vendors
This is the most important part of this policy. When you submit an enquiry, we disclose the details above to one or more moving vendors on our network so that they can prepare a quote and contact you directly. This is the service, and we ask you to consent to it explicitly on the enquiry form rather than burying it in this document.
Vendors receive your details as independent organisations, not as our agents. Once your details are with a vendor, that vendor is responsible under the PDPA for how it handles them, and its own privacy policy applies to what it does next. We require vendors on our network to use enquiry data only to quote and fulfil the job you asked about.
We also use third-party service providers to operate the site: a form-processing provider that delivers enquiries to us by email, and our website host. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers.
Consent, and withdrawing it
We rely on your consent, given by ticking the consent box on the enquiry form. The box is never ticked for you.
You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We will action a withdrawal within a reasonable time. Withdrawing consent means we can no longer pass your enquiry to vendors, so we would not be able to continue matching you. Withdrawal does not affect disclosures already made before we received your request, and it does not oblige a vendor that already holds your details to delete them; you would need to ask that vendor directly.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries that do not proceed: retained for up to 12 months, then deleted.
- Enquiries that result in a matched job: retained for up to 3 years from the date of the move, so we can deal with any dispute or complaint about the vendor we matched you with.
- Records we are legally required to keep: retained for the period the relevant law requires.
We delete or anonymise personal data once the purpose it was collected for no longer applies.
Your right of access and correction
Under the PDPA you may ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you and information about how it has been used or disclosed in the past year, and you may ask us to correct anything inaccurate. Write to our Data Protection Officer using the details below. We respond within 30 days, or tell you when to expect a response if we need longer. A reasonable fee may apply to an access request, and we will tell you the amount before proceeding.
Protection
We apply reasonable security arrangements to protect personal data against unauthorised access, collection, use, disclosure, copying, modification or disposal. The site is served over HTTPS and enquiry data is limited to the staff and vendors who need it. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Cookies and analytics
This site sets no advertising cookies and does not use localStorage or sessionStorage. If Google Analytics 4 is enabled, it sets its own cookies to measure usage. You can block these in your browser settings without affecting the enquiry form.
Overseas transfer
Our website host and form-processing provider may store data on servers outside Singapore. Where that happens we take steps to ensure a standard of protection comparable to the PDPA. Moving vendors we match you with are Singapore-based.
Children
The site is intended for adults arranging a move. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. Material changes to how we disclose data to vendors will be reflected in the consent wording on the enquiry form.
Contacting us about your data
Use the enquiry form to make an access, correction or withdrawal request, and say clearly in the message that it is a data protection request rather than a moving enquiry. It reaches the person responsible for data protection at SKAP Waste Management Pte Ltd. We respond within 30 days, or tell you when to expect a response if we need longer.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may contact the Personal Data Protection Commission of Singapore.
