Moving a 2-room hdb

The smallest job on the board, and the one most often over-quoted. A 2-room Flexi holds a bed, a wardrobe, a sofa and a fridge, which is a 10ft lorry and two movers, not a half-day operation. Most of these flats are recent BTO with new lifts, so the usual mature-estate problem of a sofa that will not fit the lift car rarely arises. Where it gets expensive is rental blocks in older estates, where the flat is the same size but the lift is small and the corridor narrow.

Floor area is typically 36 to 47 sqm, though what decides the lorry size is how much you own rather than the floor plan. A lightly furnished unit at the top of that range can need less space than a full one at the bottom.
